I’m a Montreal-based motherhood, maternity, family, and newborn photographer, a mama, a wife, and the heart behind Jen Blanco Photography.
I photograph families in a way that feels natural, relaxed, and deeply human, focusing on real moments, connection, and the quiet beauty of everyday life.
Why I do this
I grew up in a home where my dad documented our family’s story, so my mom was always in the photos. How lucky was she?!
It wasn’t until I became a mom that I realized that she was not the rule, but the exception!.
Most moms are behind the camera, making sure everyone else is remembered. My work is about gently changing that, and making sure moms are seen, too, but most importantly, celebrated!
My approach
My sessions are relaxed and storytelling-based.
No stiff poses, no pressure, no expectations for “perfect behaviour.”
I guide you gently so everything feels natural, even if you think you’re awkward in photos. Kids are free to be themselves, because that’s where the real moments live.

I don’t retouch bodies or erase real life. I believe your story deserves to be remembered beautifully and truthfully.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me soaking in time with my family, sipping a warm coffee (probably that has been reheated a few times), dreaming up new creative ideas or driving my husband crazy with a few plans to improve the house 😅, chasing my little ones around the house or having a dance party in the middle of the kitchen.
Life moves fast, but I believe in slowing down, in being present, and in holding onto the moments that matter most, with the ones that matter most!
A few things about me (so you get to know me better):
I’m originally from Venezuela and I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, with a little French mixed in
I was born a feminist and I love sisterhood!
I’m all about family traditions and I’m always trying to create a new one and convince my husband to tag along 😅
I make the best guacamole (my grandma’s recipe that I carry with me)
I love making people laugh
I can eat pancakes for breakfast every. single. day
I can cry even with a commercial! Some might call me a crier, some, an empath
